Community guidelines
Last updated September 2026
bricks is for logging your life: films, books, restaurants, runs, trips, anything worth remembering. You share with people you trust. They share with you.
These guidelines exist to keep that worth something.
What's welcome here
Honest logs of anything you actually did, watched, read, ate, or experienced. Negative reviews, including strongly negative ones. Personal opinions, including ones other people disagree with. Private notes visible only to you, for keeping things you're not ready to share. Notes about hard weeks and setbacks: the unpolished parts of a life worth logging.
What isn't
Hate speech
Content that degrades people based on who they are: race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar. This includes slurs and calls for discrimination.
Harassment
Repeatedly contacting someone who has asked you to stop. Content designed to intimidate or humiliate a specific person. Coordinated pile-ons.
Doxxing
Publishing someone's private information (address, phone number, workplace, daily routine) without their consent.
Impersonation
Creating a profile designed to make people think you're someone else.
Fake activity
Fake reviews. Bot-generated content. Buying or selling followers or reactions. Coordinated inauthentic behavior.
Explicit sexual content
bricks is not an adult platform.
Self-harm promotion
Content that encourages or glorifies self-harm or suicide. Sharing personal struggle is allowed. Promoting harm is not.
Harmful misinformation
False factual claims that could endanger health or safety. Opinions and subjective reviews are not misinformation.
Sexual content involving minors
Zero tolerance. Any such content is reported to authorities. No exceptions.
One clarification worth making
A genuinely bad review is always welcome. That's bricks working as intended. A coordinated campaign to tank a business's rating through fake accounts is not. The line is simple: did you actually experience it?
bricks is built for logging things, not people. A negative review of a restaurant is fine. A review of a person isn't a bricks use case, and depending on the content, it may be harassment.
If you break the rules
We handle it in three ways, depending on severity:
First offense, low severity. Your content is removed and you receive a notice explaining why. No restriction on your account.
Repeated or deliberate violations. Your ability to post, comment, or message is temporarily restricted (7 to 30 days).
Severe violations. Your account is permanently disabled. This applies to hate speech, CSAM, sustained coordinated harassment, and serious repeat offenses.
If you're banned, you still have the right to request deletion, access, or portability of your data. Contact kohav@joinbricksapp.com.
If you think we got it wrong
You can appeal any moderation decision within 30 days. A real person reviews every appeal within 7 business days. Contact support to start one.
You must be 18 or older to use bricks.
We may update these guidelines. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know at least 30 days in advance.
