Terms of service
Last updated September 2026
Welcome to bricks
bricks is a social platform for tracking what you love: the films you watch, the books you read, the runs you go on, and everything else that makes up your life. By using bricks, you agree to these terms.
These terms apply to all users of the bricks app and any related services operated by bricks Ltd. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Your account
You must be 18 or older to use bricks. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything that happens under it. Don't share your password.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. When you do, your profile, bricks, photos, lists, messages and connections are removed straight away. Not flagged, not queued, and the uploaded files go with the rows.
What you can post
bricks is for sharing things you genuinely do or experience. Be honest. Don't post content that's hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or designed to deceive other users.
You own what you post. By sharing it on bricks, you give us a limited license to display it to other users as part of the service. We don't sell your content or use it in advertising.
Privacy and your data
We collect only what we need to run the service: your profile, the bricks you log, and basic usage data that helps us improve the product. We don't sell your data to third parties. The privacy policy lists all of it.
Privacy comes from your account rather than from each brick. On a public account your finished bricks can be seen by other people on bricks and appear on your profile page; on a private account only people you are mutually connected to can see them. Something you have saved for later is only ever shown to friends, on either kind of account.
Social features
Following, friends, lists and shared collections are features of the service, and we may change how they work over time. We won't delete what you've logged to do it.
Things we don't allow
Don't use bricks to:
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate other users
- Scrape or bulk-download content from the platform
- Create fake accounts or inflate engagement artificially
- Distribute spam or unsolicited promotional content
- Circumvent any security or access control in the app
Violations may result in account suspension or permanent removal.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content
There is no tolerance on bricks for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. That includes anything hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or that targets someone for who they are.
Every brick, comment, list and profile you write is checked as it is posted, and anything that trips that check is refused rather than published. Filtering is not perfect, so the rest is on us and on you:
- Report it. Every brick, comment and profile has a Report option. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours, and anything objectionable is removed.
- Block them. Blocking someone stops them seeing your bricks, your lists, your profile and your photos, and stops them contacting you, immediately.
- Accounts that post it are removed. Not warned. Removed.
If something needs a human, write to kohav@joinbricksapp.com. A person reads that address. See also the community guidelines.
Changes to these terms
We'll update these terms when we need to. If the changes are significant, we'll notify you in the app. Continuing to use bricks after an update means you accept the new terms.
